Clyde Clubs and Services
Clyde Parks & Play Committee (no longer active)
We are a volunteer based committee dedicated to improving and expanding our local Community Playground (Just east of the corner of 49th St. and 50th Ave.) In 2010 we removed the old playground equipment and installed 2 separate age-defined play areas, a rock wall and a set of swings. At the same time we installed a series of six outdoor fitness stations. In 2011 we erected a cedar gazebo with bench seating. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to call the Village office for more information at 780-348-5356
Clyde & District Agricultural Society
The Village of Clyde boasts a beautiful set of three ball diamonds, situated on the east part of the Village. Jointly owned and operated by the Village of Clyde and The Clyde and District Agricultural Society, all diamonds are fenced with shale infields and dugouts. The facilities also include a concession booth, washrooms and a large covered pole shed.
The grounds are used by Clyde Minor Ball teams as well as the Clyde Adult Slow Pitch League. It is also rented out to other organizations for various functions, from ball tournaments to reunions. The grounds were used for the 2013 Alberta Senior Games for two divisions of their slo-pitch provincial play-downs. For more information on availability or rental rates please call the Village of Clyde at 780 348-5356 or Jim Rau at 780-348-5774.
Clyde Curling Club
The Clyde Curling Club leases the rink from the The Clyde and District Agricultural Society. It was built in 1990 and is situated on 53 Avenue and 49 Street. In the fall of 2014 the ice plant chiller quit working and the decision was made to not repair or replace it. It is currently being used for many events including weddings, reunions, parties and community pickle ball. It has a large capacity of approx. 450. The upstairs lounge has a seating capacity of 100 and is available for smaller parties, meetings, etc. at a very reasonable rate. There is also a large area surrounding the curling complex that can be used for camping (no hookups) and a small campground nearby with power and water. For more information please contact the Village of Clyde. See more businesses in Clyde here.
