Community Spirit Award Contest

Clyde Parks and Play presents the Community Spirit Award Contest! Decorate your house for the holiday season and win the 2011 Community Spirit Award. Judging will take place the week of December 12th - 16th. The prize for the best decorated house will be a $25.00 donation to the Eleanor Hall School Breakfast Program in the winner's name.

Clyde's Biggest Christmas Craft Sale Ever

On December 11, 2011 there will be a Christmas Craft Sale held at the Clyde Community Hall. The Craft Sale will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come out and start your Christmas shopping- there will be a kids fun corner which will include face painting and a visit from Santa.

Public Hearing for Bylaw 2011-09 Amend Land Use Bylaw

The Village of Clyde will be holding a Public Hearing regarding Bylaw 2011-09, Amend Land Use Bylaw:

The purpose of proposed Bylaw 2011-09 is to change the land use district map by:

REZONING NW ¼ 35-59-25-4 FROM UR (URBAN RESERVE) TO M (INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT

The amendment may be viewed at the Village Office, 4812-50 Street, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

A Public Hearing is scheduled for December 20, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Village of Clyde Council Chambers.

The Public Hearing provides an opportunity for persons affected by the revised By-law to object or make suggestions prior to third and final reading.

Village Office Holiday Hours

The Village of Clyde Office will be closed from Friday, December 23, 2011 to Tuesday, January 3, 2011. The Office will reopen at 9:30 a.m. on January 3, 2011.

2011 Tax Payment Reminder

To All Village of Clyde Ratepayers

Any taxes remaining unpaid as of January 1, 2012 will be subject to a 15% penalty. Payment must be received by December 31, 2011 to avoid this penalty.

2012 Tax Payment Instalment Plan

Any residents of Clyde who would like to pay their taxes by monthly instalments in 2012 must have their 2011 taxes paid in full prior to beginning the monthly instalment payment plan. If you are interested in using this plan, please contact the Clyde Village Office to enter into a payment plan agreement and find out what your monthly payments from January to May 2012 will be.

Westlock Seasonal Influenza Clinics

Alberta Health Services will once again be holding influenza vaccination clincis. This clinics will be drop in only, with no appointments available. The location for the clincs will be:

The clinics will be held on:

Wednesdays 1:00pm - 7:00pm

Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm

December Recycle Days

Garbage Collection is every Friday- please have your garbage put out before 7:00 a.m. in enclosed garbage cans. Recycle Collection is every second Friday- please place your recyclables in blue bags and place beside your garbage.
