This is true country living on an even smaller, more intimate scale.
To Whom it May Ease:
We’re something to write home about - if we weren’t already there. A nightly resting place for those suffering the work and traffic grind of the greater Edmonton area. True small-town living on an even smaller, more intimate scale. Population: Not a lot…and yet not too small to lose your anonymity in, embraced by a community of helping hands and friendly, welcoming faces where exchanging pleasantries is seen as a favourite pastime.

We’re a restful place yes, but not for the old and tired. More than just a stopping point, we’re a starting point for new business ventures and pioneering adventurers from the home-based independent to aspiring entrepreneur to innovative agriculture and energy workforces. A place to not just dream in, but to wake up in. To find your purpose and reach your true potential. To fly.

We’re small, but not too small to raise a family, a business, or to spend a whole life in…and with safe, walkable streets, interesting gathering spaces and endless landscapes, modest classroom sizes, and best-in-region home and commercial lot choice and affordability less than an hour from big city amenities, you can be sure to do just that.

Those who first settled here recognized our vast potential for personal and professional growth and prosperity, including our namesake, a key business owner and our community’s first postmaster. In his tradition of connecting people and place through the sharing of information, ideas and the deepest of affections, we pledge wholehearted commitment to our future as a community, with sharp focus on the incubation and acceleration of local enterprise and small or home-based business through use of strong tax incentives and physical and financial supports. Through our strategic Westlock Economic Region Partnership, we will also see to the prioritization of large industrial and home-grown farm-to-table or craft agriculture service attraction, and seek to grow stronger with innovative agri-hoods and agri-tourism initiatives; heightening our community sustainability and competitive local economy while leveraging our advantageous location at a major transportation crossroads on some of the richest soil in the province.

Indeed, our story is just beginning. One not for the faint of heart, but calloused of hands, and for those ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and make a difference. To commit and to connect… Because it takes a whole village to face and fill the potential of a blank page, and we are Yours Always,
Clyde.
