Policing Priority Engagement Survey

For Village of Clyde residents only

Survey Introduction & Instructions

Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your thoughts.

This survey asks you to rank several policing topics and lets you add anything that may not be covered in the list.

Your responses will help the Village and the RCMP better understand the priorities and concerns of Clyde residents as part of the new Community Priorities Plan.

Policing Priority Descriptions:

Community Engagement

Building strong relationships between police and residents.  This includes being visible, open, and working with community groups to support safety and crime prevention.

Crime Education

Providing education on crimes such as fraud, identity theft, cyberbullying, online harassment, digital scams, child exploitation, hacking and more.

Hate Crimes and Harassment

Incidents driven by prejudice or hate, including threats, vandalism, harassment, or stalking.

Increase Police Visibility

Having officers present and active in the community through patrols, visits, and local events.

Prolific or Repeat Offender Accountability

Police focusing on the small portion of the people that are committing a large share of crime in the community. The goal is to reduce crime by closely monitoring these individuals, responding quickly to their offences and working with partners to prevent them from re-offending.

Public Order Offences

Disturbances such as loud or disruptive behaviour, public intoxication, loitering, trespassing, or unruly gatherings.

Reduce Drug Offences

Addressing drug possession, trafficking, illegal production, and drug‑impaired driving.

Reduce Persons Crimes

Crimes that involve harm or threats to people, such as assault, domestic violence, robbery, or kidnapping.

Reduce Property Crime

Crimes involving theft or damage to property; vehicle theft, break‑ins, vandalism, mischief, and stolen goods.

Traffic and Vehicle Offences

Improving road safety by reducing impaired, dangerous, or reckless driving; unlicensed drivers; street racing; and hit‑and‑run incidents.
